A New Beginning

After a year of marriage and a heartbreaking miscarriage, we found out we were pregnant! It was a miracle and a blessing. The pregnancy was super easy other than a few days of just not feeling well. Then came the labor. 36 hours of back labor to be exact. Imagine shoving a knife into your lower back and twisting it. After throwing up from the pain and being rushed to the hospital by my oh-so-amazing husband I discovered the most wonderful invention known to mankind. The epidural. Yeah, the anesthesiologist had to prick me about 4 times and accidentally shove the needle into bone before getting it in there good, but it was nonetheless wonderful. After that, the baby came quick. Dallas Brandon Schneck was born at 5:40 in the morning on March 11, 2010. He was 20 inches long and 7 lbs. 8.8 oz. And perfect. We were nervous about bringing him home, but found out it wasn't all that bad. He slept most of the day and was such a happy baby that we never had to deal with colic or tantrums. Life was easy. That was 6 months ago.

Now life is hectic. Brandon and I are both back at work (and I'm starting school again soon) and raising our son. Luckily, both of our moms are helping out with watching Dallas during the day, so we don't have to put him into day care just yet. Dallas is growing and eating like crazy and there is no time to relax during the day. Dallas has Brandon and me wrapped around his tiny little fingers. He's already getting around (by rolling) so it's a constant chase and never any time to sit. Even with all the craziness, I couldn't ask for a more perfect life. Yeah things are stressful at times, but it's just another day in paradise!
